Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, involves the reduction in the size of breasts by removing excess fat, skin, and glandular tissue. Although this procedure is typically performed on women, it may also benefit men afflicted by gynecomastia, or overdeveloped male breasts. Breast reduction can be especially beneficial for women whose large breasts cause chronic pain of the head, neck, back, and shoulders or for women who feel their breasts are not proportional to the rest of their body. Frequently, this procedure is covered by your health insurance.
